We have a talented crew available to build your Growing Dome no matter where you live!

If you are a future dome owner contemplating whether to build the dome yourself, hire a local contractor, or hire a Growing Spaces supervisor or crew, this page can assist you in making that decision.

Most of our crew memebers are independent contractors and are not employed by Growing Spaces. However, we train and certifiy each of them, so every dome is built to our standards and specifications.

How much will it cost for us to install your Growing Dome?
Installation costs are variable based on location, dome size, and whether you choose to have just a supervisor or hire our full crew.

Prospective dome owners often ask what shall I feed the crew?
Many of our crew members do have special dietary preferences. We have enclosed a few comments about each person in order to assist you in planning menus during the dome build. We appreciate all accomodations and consideration of these needs.

Nick Parsons
(Head supervisor)

Head supervisor. Built the first Growing Dome in 1989. Only has one speed: full on. When not building domes he's skiing, rafting, boating on Lake Powell, or meditating in front of the T.V.

Diet: Anything, no Caffeine, M&Ms with Almonds

We had a 26 Dome put up 4-25-04 with the help of Nick. I am a general contractor and not a custom to Dome construction, with out Nick's attention to detail and kindness it would have been a long drawn out project. It only took us 3 days with Nick around. Thanks Nick. --Ron, Reno, NV

Rodney Volkmar

Growing Dome enthusiast and certified installer. When not building domes he is building web sites. Could be cutting hair or creating designs in Stucco. He loves to travel.

Diet: Semi Vegetarian Fish and Turkey (or whatever we are served)

He joined Growing Space crew in 2003 after building the 33' Growing Dome for Sanctuaryhouse in Crestone, Colorado

Pamela Rose
(Crew )

Experienced dome builder and photographer. She also does healing work and counseling. Enthusiastic gardener, lover of Growing Domes and just happens to be Rodney's partner. They are successful sales associates and make a great building team.

Diet: mostly Vegetarian (or whatever we are served) Lots of good coffee, M&M's with Almonds

Udgar Parsons

Founder of Growing Spaces and mad scientist and designer of the Growing Dome. Likes to come out of semi-retirement to build a dome now and then. Says “it keeps me young and helps me to be involved hands-on with the product.”
